Not only did Grandpa come through with a 3D-DS for Hayden, but he also picked him up from school one day and played. They started out with an after school snack at Burger King. They headed up to Toys R Us and shopped for Hayden's Toy Drive. They filled up Grandpa's car with all kinds of cool gifts for the kids at the hospital. The hospital scored on toys that 10 year old boys like. They bought Toys R Us out of Transformers, Star Wars, guitars and Hero Factory legos.
Hayden wanted to go to the mall food court for dinner. I think he tried a couple of different meals, at least as much food as he could possibly eat. Then, they decided to go see the movie "Real Steel" at 8pm. They played and played and Hayden didn't get home until after 11pm, yes, even on a school night.
It was so worth it. Hayden is still talking about his perfect day with Grandpa. I appreciate so much that my dad took Hayden and let him feel like the most important person in the world that day. It was so special for Hayden and meant everything to me. I am so grateful!
