She taught them safety and then they got to use all they learned. How to start a fire with Doritos, frites, gum wrappers, kindling and more. They had a ball.
After the lessons learned and required merit badge lessons were learned, the boys had a great time roasting hot dogs, making s'mores, candles and all kinds of fun stuff.
Hayden is so lucky.
He has so many people that take interest in him. Help him. Teach him. Encourage him. And help him to learn and grow.
Plus, it kept the boys busy for an entire day. Outside. Away from electronics and video games.
I loved the smiles and fascination that were on their faces. Joy. Sheer childhood joy!
