Trek on the road

Hayden had a great time at trek. He talked of the kick off speeches and how they motivated him.
He talked of pulling the handcart and sleeping on the ground.  He came back with a better appreciation of the pioneers and our Savior. He developed deeper friendships.
He gained skills. He strengthened his testimony. He loved his mom and pop. He loved it all. The harder it was the more he loved it. He asked me if that why life is supposed to be hard so we appreciate it more. Wise boy of mine.
He talked of how hard it was to watch the girls pull. He wanted to jump in. He has a sweet heart. He is tender and kind.
Trek did what it was supposed to do. Hayden developed strength himself and with friends and leaders. He worked hard and enjoyed it. He learned hard work and hard things bring a sense of accomplishment and joy. Thanks you to all those that pulled it off. I'm grateful for your sacrifice for these youth.
