Aaronic Priesthood- Deacon

Hayden was ordained to the office of a Deacon and conferred the Aaronic Priesthood by his father, Thomas Murphy, on December 15, 2013.

Hayden prepared for this precious ordination for months and months. He studied. He earned his Duty to God award. He prayed. He fasted. He eagerly awaited his twelfth birthday and this incredible opportunity.

As Thomas laid his hands on Hayden's head, accompanied by Grandpa Simonton, Jordan Weeks, Bishop Smith, and others, the Spirit was so strong.

Mom, Dad, Aunt Suzi, Grandma Joyce, Grandma Julie, Chad, Weeks, Bishop, and so many came to support Hayden on this very special day.

As Hayden received the priesthood, he felt the power and responsibility. He smiled from ear to ear. He felt the love of the Savior. He felt the love of those around him. He felt the Holy Ghost witness the divinity of what was happening. The authority from the Savior. And the responsibility involved.

Hayden just beamed. He was surrounded in love.

He honors his priesthood. He loves the Savior. He loves those he serves.

I'm excited to see Hayden embrace the priesthood, honor it, live worthy to cal on its power and bless lives. I couldn't be prouder. I am so lucky this boy is mine.
